SUMMER WITH THE LITTLE GOATS OF POZNAN
A COURSE OF POLISH FOR CHILDREN

Who our course is for?
We invite children aged 8-17 to come to Poznan to enjoy our exciting and fun-filled courses of Polish. Poznan is one of the oldest cities in Poland, full of attractive monuments and places interesting for young people.
We address our offer to children whose native language is not Polish.
Why is our offer worth taking?
If you decide to take our course there will be no time for boredom!
The course can be run by one or several teachers, who will take turns teaching during the day. Our staff is made up of hand-picked language teachers with experience in teaching children, additionally qualified to teach Polish as a second language. They certainly know how to make learning Polish fun and easy!
Our teachers:
- use a variety of teaching methods, from simple exercises through dialogues and interviews to acting out and role plays,
- apply different techniques to practice all basic language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening comprehension,
- allow their students to familiarize themselves with Polish and overcome communication barriers,
- accompany their students also at mealtimes and while eating out giving them an opportunity to taste our Polish cuisine.
What will the syllabus include?
The course syllabus appeals to children’s imagination. It focuses mainly on developing comprehension and speaking skills. Children learn by playing games, quizzes and plays, they get to know passages from Polish children’s literature and based on this they do role-plays, make dialogues and make up stories.
Some lessons go outside the school. The program includes among other attractions visiting the Old Town market square, seeing the traditional Poznan goats, and a visit to the theatre. Children have an opportunity to practice their newly-learnt skills in real-life situations – asking for directions, buying ice-creams, ordering pizza or sending a postcard at the post-office.
